Natural slate roof
Natural slate roof covering to farm workers cottage.

Loaded roof.
The roof covering specification required Tyvek Supro breather felt, with treated timber battens. Once the breather felt, batten and eave support tray fixing have been completed, the roof can then be loaded out in readiness for slate fixing.
In this instance the slate is a Cupa Heavy 3 slate fixed with copper nails.

Lead valley.
The photograph depicts a code 5 lead and cut slates to form a valley.

Natural slate roof.
Natural slate is probably the most aesthetically pleasing finish to have on a roof, the uniform colour and thickness of the Cupa Heavy slate will ensure a Superior roof covering for the life of the building.
